2014!

Almost one year ago we created this blog and started posting news about Hardy & Parsons. Now that we start a new year, we've made a summary of the last months and we can say that we're proud and very happy with all the achievements we've made in the last year!

We designed a lot of new products, that are currently available, such as iPhone and Pen Cases, dog leads, belts... We've taken photos of every single product and we also have written very detailed descriptions of each of them. With those photos and descriptions we designed a catalogue that is now available online, so that you can check it every time you want. We also made a photo shoot with a model, to offer you a lifestyle catalogue of our bestsellers. We've opened accounts in the most important social networks, where you can find the latest news and information about Hardy & Parsons (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Vimeo). We took part in Beta, IWA and Showcase, to show and sell our products (we'll take part this year too). We made a new collaboration and started appearing in the media

We hope 2014 will be also a good year, as 2013 was. For the time being, we're designing a new website that we hope will be ready soon. On the website you'll be able to check all our products but also some interesting information about the brand, the "atelier" where the belts are handmade, the owner Maurice Greig... and much more! We're also developing our showroom for you to come every time you're in London, to see, try and buy our products.

We've a lot of good reasons to face this year full of happiness. So... Happy New Year everybody! We hope you enjoyed Christmas and that 2014 will be your time to make all your dreams come true!

A medical engineer and an astronaut work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space.

Seduced and Abandoned

Seduced and Abandoned combines acting legend Alec Baldwin with director James Toback as they lead us on a troublesome and often hilarious journey of raising financing for their next feature film. Moving from director to financier to star actor, the two players provide us with a unique look behind the curtain at the world's biggest and most glamorous film festival, shining a light on the bitter-sweet relationship filmmakers have with Cannes and the film business. Featuring insights from directors Martin Scorsese, Bernando Bertolucci and Roman Polanski; actors Ryan Gosling and Jessica Chastain and a host of film distribution luminaries.

Apple. Intel. Genentech. Atari. Google. Cisco. Stratospheric successes with high stakes all around. Behind some of the world's most revolutionary companies are a handful of men who (through timing, foresight, a keen ability to size up other people, and a lot of luck) saw opportunity where others did not: these are the original venture capitalists. All were backing and building companies before the term 'venture capital' had been coined: companies that led to the birth of biotechnology and the spectacular growth in microprocessors, personal computers and the web. Something Ventured uncovers the ups and downs of the building of some of the greatest companies of the twentieth century, and the hidden dramas behind some of the most famous names in business.

Utopia

Australia's past is explored by one of its most famous - and outspoken - sons. John Pilger's film tackles his country's racially divided history and how the state, the media and corporations have played a part in a system that is regarded by many as apartheid in all but name. The film examines the exploitation of the Aboriginal population, both as a people and of the land they have lived on for centuries, and how so many institutions have profited while they have suffered.

Remember remember the 5th of November

Tomorrow is 5th of November, the famous Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes DayBonfire Night and Firework Night. It is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.

Do you remember The Hurlingham Club, where we took the lifestyle photos? Well, last Saturday there was a fireworks display that we enjoyed very much. Below you can see some photos:

You can enjoy the firework displays that will take place during the whole week in London. If you are in the north you can join the Fortismere School Fireworks Night. If you are in South London you can join Wimbledon Park Fireworks, Southwark Park Fireworks, Crystal Palace Park Fireworks and Brockwell Park Fireworks If you are en East London you can join the Barking Park Fireworks and Waltham Forest Fireworks. And, if you are in west London, you can join Brent Fireworks Display

There is an interesting film about the topic that we recommend. Starring by Natalie Portman, the film is called V for Vendetta.

Lifestyle Catalogue!

After designing the Product Catalogue, we're ready to show you our new lifestyle catalogue

It all started when we went to The Hurlingham Club, a green oasis of tradition and international renown. Recognized throughout the world as one of the Britain's greatest private members's clubs, it retains its quintessentially English traditions and heritage. That's why we thought it would be the perfect place to take photos of our  belts, all of them handmade in England.

We chose some of our bestsellers and, in the company of Juan Román Lloret, a Spanish young model, we  arrived at the club driving a magnificent white Porsche. Once in the club, we spent a lovely day taking photos all over the place, enjoying the views and the landscape and drinking a cup of tea in one of the most beautiful living rooms of the club.

Below you can see some of the photos (we'll show you all of them in the following days) and also check the catalogue. We hope you like it!
